  • Really glad to observe and try this alpha-version. It takes some getting used to, simply and then far its a great simple tool for searching and reviewing .mbox files, particularly Gmail takeouts. Some suggestions/wants for future consideration: - extract/display unique ID in csv output; - or if print individual emails to html/pdf, enable the unique filename of the pdf or html to function of the csv output, mayhap with their filepath (so they can exist located or linked to); - similar for attachments to emails - output their unique ID or hash, and path in csv output; - enable e-mail attachment metadata and text to also be part of csv output. I know that is probably request alot. Thanks for the effort so far. Not a coder but happy to help/examination. I sent a small donation by paypal.

  • I am very pleased with Windows MBox Viewer. The gmail takeout athenaeum which I am accessing with MBox Viewer is over 15 GB and covers a bridge of about 17 years and includes many attachments, photos, videos, etc. I've used the search functions and various screen configurations, sorting and press features, and all work flawlessly. I watched the brusque tutorial on this website, which I recommend -- information technology is very helpful, although MBox Viewer is very like shooting fish in a barrel and user friendly and likely can be used without viewing the video. Only the video has several useful tips. My gmail archives took about ten hours to download. Afterward downloading, I copied it onto a separate hard drive, along with MBox Viewer, which allowed me to plug the hard drive via USB into a unlike reckoner without installing MBox or the archives onto the other computer, which is quite handy. Very pleased.

  • I didn't accept SourceForge account earlier I downloaded this awarding. I fabricated an business relationship exclusively because I felt like this app was amazing enough to merit my leaving a positive review. I had an .mbox file which, for some unknown reason, no application I used was able to open. Whether it be because of its size or anything else, it wasn't working. Any website or fault I looked at suggested the file might have been corrupted. And so, I downloaded this app, and miraculously, it worked flawlessly. The file was a .mbox file which contained about four years' worth of emails, many of which were very important, some for personal reasons, some for professional. The account to which these emails are linked has since been deleted for reasons exterior my control, and with this app, I'm still able to see all the emails in their original class. Tremendously, tremendously helpful. Invaluable.

  • This tool does everything I need. It provides search, the power to save the results, the ability to merge multiple mbox files and eliminate duplicates. I've paid for and tried a number of other tools, but this is the all-time.
